OKAY, SO…

… I like coffee, strawberry Hagen Das, swimming in lakes, great conversations, Paris, and laughing till I cry…not necessarily in that order.

I lived in a small towns in Indiana and California, a big town in the LA area, and now in San Diego for all of my adult life. I am so grateful to live in my charming historic home in the South Park neighborhood.

People call me the baby whisperer (aka, every kid’s Aunt Luci) and this led me to a successful career as a children’s portrait specialist after enjoying being a wedding photographer for my first 12 years.  Though I rarely photograph weddings I still watch “Say Yes to The Dress” and had fun being an unpaid second shooter at a cousin’s wedding recently.

In 1982, I found myself without a job due to a recession, and discovered I was born to be an entrepreneur and have a business. By this time, I was intensely passionate about photography so I jumped in the deep end, and made the decision to be a full-time photographer. Every day I count my blessings that I took the risk, listened only to those that encouraged me, and made it happen.

A lifelong learner, I am a huge fan of groups like the Professional Photographers of America, where I earned my Master and Craftsmen degrees, served as president of my local chapter, and have attended countless conventions and workshops; while teaching, judging, and mentoring tons of photographers along the way. We stand on the shoulders of giants in our industry. Sharing this experience, education, and connections with incredible photographers is my joy. And one reason coaching and podcasting is a fit for me. I want to pass on to you as much as possible while still on the planet.

I believe that photographs are magical and important and immeasurably valuable.

I believe in the power of intention and positive thinking, in following our intuition, and that having a business is powerful “personal growth” opportunity.

I also believe in you!

Love and a hug, Luci
