I’m so excited to welcome the great and powerful Leon Johnson to the Profitable Photographer Podcast this week!
Leon is not only a great friend of mine but also an award-winning portrait and fine art photographer based in Athens, Georgia. He specializes in painterly portraits and is inspired by neo-classic and romanticism periods in art. Not too surprisingly, he began loving art while living in Europe, where he became inspired by all of the beautiful architecture, sculptures, and paintings.
If this conversation with Leon doesn’t inspire you to start finding inspiration in more untraditional spaces (like he did with the tv series, Rome), then I don’t know what will.
Listen along as Leon shares with us:
- how he’s influenced by art but doesn’t try to copy it
- how to build trust and rapport with your clients
- the importance of color harmony in photos
- how to use multiple lighting scenarios and tools to create portraits
If you’re interested in learning to edit like Leon, you can find his Fine Art Editing Live Course on his website: www.leonjohnsonphotography.org/course, or you can also message him on Instagram to get the link.
Of everything that Leon shared with us today, I think I’m the biggest fan of his parting thoughts for us. What are they? You’ll have to listen to the full episode to find out, but let’s just say that your heart is involved.
